• Be the subject matter expert in at least one database platform.
• Install, configure, manage, and monitor multiple versions of one or more of MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server.
• Perform database upgrades, scripting, task automation, backups/recovery.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and standard operating procedures.
• Assume ownership of sensitive data protection in production and lower environment sanitization.
• Manage VLDBs (Very Large Databases) 4TB+.
• Adhere to best practices and standard operating procedures.
• Support development teams with database requests as needed (including bug fixes, production data manipulation, and feature testing).
• Support business users and BI team with data access, troubleshooting, and ad-hoc queries.
• Support high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including RPO and RTO objectives.
• Contribute to cloud architecture design.
• Familiar with all common MSSQL SQL Constructs such as Views, Triggers, Stored Procedures and Functions
• Responsible for managing and maintaining notification services utilizing Database Mail (MSSQL)
• Familiar with Elastic Search and Redis a significant plus.
• Familiar with RDS bases MSSQL and MySQL a plus.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Education Details; In Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience with database performance monitoring, tuning and diagnostic tools
• 5 years of data systems integration via APIs and/or ETL tools.
REQUIREMENTS:
• High proficiency at quickly troubleshooting and remediating production issues.
• Ability to work with people of varied technical backgrounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work on-call production support when needed.
• Experience with data systems integration via API’s and/or ETL tools.
• Experience managing sensitive PII and/or PCI data.
• Experience working with encryption technologies.
• Highly experienced at database performance monitoring, tuning and diagnostic tools.
• Experienced at cloud environment management via infrastructure as code
• Proficient at troubleshooting performance production outage issue diagnosis.
• Good understanding of data analytics and reporting solution concepts and strategies
• Experience with Telerik Reporting Server, Power BI and SSRS.
• Able to parse, understand and debug for performance extremely long Stored Procedures 1k – 5k lines.
• Possess skills to manage SQL Agent Jobs and their schedules.
