Overview

Looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our team and make an immediate impact. Candidates will possess an innate desire to understand how things work, then use that information to provide the best protection for our employees and assets.

Duties

• Sets policies and rulesets around assigned endpoint protection technology
• Reviews release notes and vendor documentation of assigned endpoint protection technology to stay knowledgeable of the following related to the technology
o New features/capabilities
o Enhancements/changes to proper management
o Reporting/monitoring improvements
o Makes recommendations to management regarding potential benefit and methods for implementation
• Escalation point for Endpoint Security Engineers for incidents/requests related to endpoint protection technologies
• Determines secure endpoint configuration settings to implement and performs initial testing against lab systems
• Subject matter expert for assigned endpoint protection technology
• Review effectiveness of security configurations against expected outcomes and adjusts as necessary to improve effectiveness
• Designs implementation plans for new endpoint protection features/products
o Determines all actions necessary for successful implementation of new features/products
o Creates list of tasks with target execution dates
o Completes necessary change management requests/tasks
o Monitors performance impact for new features/products
o Communicates changes to Enterprise IT/User populations for changes that have potential to impact operations
• Participates in SWAT investigations to remediate any issues pertaining to endpoint security technologies

Education

Bachelors of Science in a computer related field preferred, but not required.

Experience

  • Cloud/Email security experience a plus
  • 10+ years of system administration experience with at least 4 years of security engineering focus/responsibility
