Overview

(NYSE: FNF) is seeking a Title Examiner to join its Reno, NV office.  FNF is a leading provider of title insurance and transaction services to the real estate and mortgage industries. Duties

• Examine/read title documentation such as deeds, mortgages, deeds of trust, liens, judgments, easements, restrictions, and plats/maps to determine ownership, encumbrances, and to verify legal descriptions of property in Northern Nevada.
• Analyze and evaluate records relating to property taxes, federal and state inheritance/estate taxes, liens, judgments, bankruptcy filings, foreclosures, and other records.
• Prepare title reports/commitments based on title search, identify title issues to be resolved and what the defined exceptions are relating to the policy.
• Prepare copies of documents to be sent to client.
• Make notes in applicable applications of any examination issues or comments.
• Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

A MINIMUM of three years of experience with the above is required.

Additional Information

This position is eligible to earn compensation in the range of $24 - $30 (hourly) based on location and job-related factors such as skillset and experience. (The base compensation is one component of the total rewards package offered to our employees, including optional health and welfare insurance (medical/dental/vision/life/disability); paid holidays, vacation, and sick time off; and matching 401(k) plan and matching employee stock purchase plan.
