Overview

Under the supervision of a Sales Manager will develop business networks, identify new business prospects, and maintain professional and technical knowledge directly related to the company and industry.


The position requires strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work well on a team. This is a challenging, fast-paced opportunity for experienced sales professionals to use their prior knowledge and elevate their careers to the next level.

Duties

1. Identify business opportunities by isolating prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; research and analyze sales options; convert prospects into customers.
2. Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; research and recommend new opportunities; recommend profit and service improvements.
3. Organize, lead, and participate in company initiatives and events.
4. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing team goals as set by manager.
5. Work with branch escrow personnel to ensure team productivity and cohesiveness.
6. Place marketing requests for clients; implement marketing platforms and resources for clients.

Education

High school graduation/equivalent with two plus years of experience in sales roles. Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management. Must be willing to travel locally up to 50 percent of the time.

Experience

1. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
2. Considerable knowledge of the purpose and use of title insurance and of related services and of the purpose and terminology of legal instruments involved in escrow transactions and in the insuring of title to real property.
3. Knowledge of the residential purchase contract; basic escrow procedures and terminology; and the principles of mortgage lending.
4. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, in person and by telephone.
5. Responsive to client inquiries in a professional and proactive manner.
6. Works with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to prioritize, organize, and execute incoming tasks/requests.
