POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a SQL Data Engineer & Analyst to join our team in supporting enterprise data initiatives. This hybrid role will focus on designing and maintaining SQL-based data infrastructure, building and optimizing database structures, and conducting complex data analysis to support decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL development, data visualization, and analytical problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. You’ll also play a key role in developing ETL pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and delivering actionable insights through structured reporting.

 

LOCATION

  • This is a hybrid position out of our Highlands Ranch, CO office. Ability to come onsite one day per week.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES             

  • Build and optimize ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
  • Present data findings to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and visual manner
  • Maintain data integrity, security, and availability across platforms
  • Use tools like Power BI and Python (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn) for data visualization and exploration
  • Contribute to data governance efforts by documenting processes and defining data standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Requires 3+ years of experience with SQL development, including writing complex queries, functions, and stored procedures
  • Experience with ETL processes and data integration workflows
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Power BI and/or Python-based visualization tools
  • Ability to interpret data to make recommendations and inform strategic decisions
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working in a cloud data environment (Azure or AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with data science methodologies and large dataset processing
  • Exposure to data governance, metadata management, or master data concepts
  • Prior experience working in financial services, insurance, or real estate domains

 

This position has the potential to earn compensation in the range of $75,000 - $100,000 annually based on location and job-related factors such as skillset and experience. Actual rate may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including skillset, experience and location.  The base compensation is one component of the total rewards package offered to our employees, including optional health and welfare insurance (medical/dental/vision/life/disability); paid holidays, vacation, and sick time off; and matching 401(k) plan and matching employee stock purchase plan.
